PBRef is built for the pickleball community. We collect only what we need to run the platform and never sell your data to third parties.
PBRef ("we," "us," or "our") is a pickleball referee management platform operated by PBRef. We provide tournament coordinators, directors, and referees with tools to manage signups, court assignments, communications, and payments.

Account information — When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the role you select (referee, coordinator, or director).
Profile information — Referees may optionally add accreditation level, state, bio, organization, and a profile photo.
Payment information — Coordinators may enter preferred payment handles (e.g., Venmo username, Zelle phone number). We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. Tournament access payments are processed by Square and subject to Square's privacy policy.
Usage data — We log tournament signups, court assignments, match counts, check-in activity, and notifications sent. This data powers your dashboard and history.
Device and technical data — We may collect browser type, device type, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
Google sign-in — If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
By providing a phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from PBRef related to your account and tournament activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your notification preferences in your profile. See our full SMS Policy for details.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
Tournament history, ref records, and match data are retained permanently as part of the official record of each tournament. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting admin@pbref.com.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase on AWS) for data at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We apply row-level security policies to prevent unauthorized data access.
PBRef is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at admin@pbref.com and we will delete the account.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact admin@pbref.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of PBRef after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
